Winter Green Man Wall Plaque 14.5cm
Evergreen leaves, pine cones and red berries gather around the weathered face of Winter. This circular Green Man wall plaque captures the woodland during its quieter season, with a long sculpted beard, thoughtful expression and darker bronze-toned finish lifted by hand-painted green and red details.
Measuring 14.5 cm, the resin plaque is compact enough for a smaller wall space while still carrying plenty of sculpted texture. Pine cones and evergreen foliage surround the face, while bright berry accents break through the deeper winter colouring. A sawtooth hook on the reverse allows the plaque to be displayed as part of a seasonal arrangement or a wider Green Man collection.

The Green Man and the Turning Seasons
Faces surrounded by leaves and vegetation have appeared in European art and architecture for centuries, particularly among the carved decoration of medieval churches. Today these foliate faces are commonly known as Green Men and are often interpreted as symbols of nature, vegetation, renewal and the continuing cycle of growth, decline and rebirth.
Although the familiar name “Green Man” is relatively modern, the imagery itself is much older. Modern folklore has strongly connected the figure with the changing seasons, making a winter interpretation especially fitting. Here, lush summer foliage gives way to evergreen leaves, berries and pine cones, reflecting the plants that continue to bring colour and life into the landscape during the darker months.
Evergreens have also carried winter symbolism for centuries. Holly and other greenery were traditionally brought into homes and churches during winter, with their ability to remain green becoming associated with endurance and the promise that growth would return with spring.
Why This Item Stands Out
- Winter interpretation of the traditional Green Man foliate face.
- Evergreen foliage, pine cones and red berries reinforce the seasonal theme.
- Bronze-toned finish with hand-painted woodland details.
- Compact 14.5 cm size with a built-in sawtooth hanging point.
Winter works particularly well as part of a seasonal Green Man collection, but the evergreen imagery also gives it meaning as a standalone piece. The combination of the weathered face, persistent foliage and winter berries reflects a landscape that appears dormant without being lifeless, making the plaque a fitting choice for woodland, folklore and nature-inspired décor.
Follow the changing face of nature through our Green Man and Goddess collection, or find more decorative pieces for your walls among our Wall Plaques and Signs. Its warm, aged finish also pairs naturally with the sculptural tones found throughout our Bronzed Figurines.
Hanging and care
Use a wall fixing suitable for the surface and the sawtooth hanger, checking that the plaque is secure before releasing it.
Handle the projecting foliage, berries and pine cones carefully, and use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust from the deeper sculpted areas.
