Light and Dark Across the Figure

The main visual contrast comes from Velissara’s pale hair against the black clothing, dark rock and deeper wing tones. Rather than using a wide colour palette, the figure relies on changes in shade and texture to separate each part of the sculpt.

The seated pose also gives the wings more importance within the composition. Their pointed edges rise around the figure and create much of the overall silhouette, while the smoky markings prevent the darker surface from appearing flat.
