Til Valhalla Viking Tankard Small

A bearded Viking looks out from dark wood-effect panels on Til Valhalla, framed by rope-like borders and surrounded by shields and crossed axes. A curved ship-prow-inspired handle carries the seafaring theme around the side, giving the compact tankard a distinctly Norse silhouette.

Standing approximately 11.7 cm tall, the hand-painted polyresin exterior is finished with raised grain-like textures and warmer metallic-looking accents around the weapons and borders. A removable stainless-steel insert forms the inner vessel, while the sculpted portraits and decorative panels continue around the body rather than stopping at the front.

A Toast Towards Valhalla

In Norse mythology, Valhalla is the hall of Odin, where selected warriors who die in battle are said to be taken after death. The phrase “Til Valhalla” is commonly understood as “to Valhalla”, making it a fitting name for a piece filled with warrior imagery, shields and axes.

The tankard also draws on the seafaring side of the Viking world. Scandinavian ships were central to travel, trade, exploration and warfare during the Viking Age, and the curved handle gives that part of the story a visible place within the design rather than leaving the theme entirely to the portraits.

Wood, Rope and Warrior Detail

The dark wood-effect finish gives the tankard a warmer feel than a stone or metal-inspired design, while the rope-like borders and ship-style handle bring different textures into the sculpt. Shields and axes add smaller points of interest between the larger portraits, so there is more to see as the cup turns.
