The Pledge Kneeling Medieval Knight Figurine

A medieval knight kneels with both hands resting over the pommel of his sword in The Pledge, head slightly lowered beneath chainmail and silver-grey armour. Draped clothing falls around the legs towards a rocky base, giving the scene a quieter, more solemn feel than a battle-ready warrior pose.

Standing approximately 15.1 cm tall, the hand-painted polyresin figurine has an aged metal-effect finish, with fine mail links, armour plates and fabric folds creating different textures across the body. The sword is removable and sits at the centre of the kneeling pose, giving the whole figure a clear focal point.

A Knight in a Moment of Oath and Devotion

The kneeling pose gives the figure a very different mood from a knight charging into battle. With both hands resting on the sword and the body lowered towards the ground, the scene suggests an oath, pledge or moment of personal devotion.

That symbolism fits naturally with medieval ideas of loyalty, duty and service, although the figure is not tied to one specific historical knight or order. The sword becomes less a weapon in this pose and more part of the ceremony, held upright at the centre of the scene.

A Quieter Side of Medieval Knight Imagery

The aged metal tones keep the armour subdued, while the chainmail and fabric folds add enough variation to stop the largely silver-grey palette feeling flat. The rocky base gives the kneeling figure a sense of place without distracting from the stillness of the pose.

The medieval subject places The Pledge naturally within our History and Mythology collection. For a stronger knight display, the Knight Templar Medieval Figurine adds a standing warrior in contrasting white-and-red heraldry, while the Three Wise Knights Figurines continue the armour and medieval theme in a more characterful group.

Display and care

Support the figurine beneath the base when lifting and make sure the removable sword is seated securely before display. Dust the chainmail and armour gently with a soft, dry brush, avoiding pressure on the hands and blade.
