A Creature from the Upside Down

Demodogs are the juvenile, quadrupedal form associated with the Demogorgon life cycle in Stranger Things, becoming one of the series’ most recognisable creatures during the second season. Their connection with the Upside Down makes the vine-covered base more than background decoration, tying the suspended specimen directly back to the world it comes from.

The glass egg changes the way the creature is presented. Instead of showing the Demodog loose within a scene, it feels contained and observed, almost like something kept for study. That specimen-like quality suits the series particularly well and gives the piece a very different character from an ordinary creature figurine.

Why This Design Works
