Screwed Industrial Skull Ornament

Screwed turns a grinning skull into something that looks as though it has been built from the contents of a workshop drawer. Nuts, bolts and screw-like forms crowd across the face, with dark eye sockets and exposed teeth still keeping the skull instantly recognisable beneath all that mechanical detail.

Standing approximately 12 cm tall, the hand-painted polyresin ornament is sculpted to resemble metal hardware rather than being assembled from loose components. Threads, circular nuts and pointed fixings continue around the crown and rear, with darker shading settling between them to give the surface more depth.

  • Height: Approximately 12 cm
  • Material: Polyresin
  • Finish: Hand-painted
  • Design: Skull formed from sculpted nuts, bolts and screw-like shapes
  • Colour: Dark metallic-effect tones
  • Style: Industrial and alternative

A Skull Built from Workshop Hardware

The detail works because the smaller shapes never completely overwhelm the face beneath them. From a distance, Screwed still reads as a skull; up close, the surface breaks apart into individual fixings, threads and mechanical forms.

That layered effect gives the ornament much of its character, especially around the brow, crown and cheekbones where the hardware shapes build up most heavily.

Industrial Texture with a Macabre Edge

The metallic-looking finish gives Screwed a heavier, machinery-inspired mood without pretending the piece is made from real metal. Darker recesses add contrast between the raised parts, while the grinning teeth keep the macabre side of the design clear.

Screwed belongs naturally amongst our Skull Ornaments, while the hardware-inspired surface connects neatly with our Steampunk collection. For more dark sculptural pieces with unusual textures and forms, browse Gargoyles, Grotesques and Horror.

Display and care

Support the lower skull when lifting and keep the smaller projecting details clear of knocks. Dust between the raised fixings gently with a soft, dry brush rather than using abrasive cleaning tools.
