Reaper’s Oath Gothic Figurine

A hooded skeleton rests both hands upon a downward-pointing sword in Reaper’s Oath, creating a still and solemn gothic figure. Blue-black robes fall around the body, leaving the pale skull, skeletal fingers and blade to stand out against the darker sculpt.

Standing 19.9 cm tall, the hand-painted resin ornament carries textured folds down the robes and across the back, finishing on a rugged rocky base. The straight line of the lowered sword gives the figure a grounded, deliberate composition, while small bone details beneath the hood and near the hem reveal the reaper beneath the shadowed robes.

  • Height: 19.9 cm
  • Material: Resin
  • Finish: Hand-painted
  • Design: Hooded skeleton holding a lowered sword
  • Details: Blue-black robes, skeletal hands and rocky base
  • Approx. weight: 0.61 kg

The Reaper and the Lowered Blade

The Grim Reaper is one of the best-known personifications of death in European imagery, traditionally represented as a skeletal figure carrying the tools of mortality. Although the scythe became the most familiar symbol, swords also appear in later gothic and fantasy interpretations as signs of judgement, guardianship and finality.

Reaper’s Oath uses that darker tradition in a quieter way. The blade is lowered rather than raised, giving the figure the feeling of a sentinel or oath-bound guardian rather than a character caught in battle.

Why This Item Stands Out

  • Lowered sword gives the reaper a distinctive, solemn pose.
  • Pale skull and skeletal fingers contrast strongly with the blue-black robes.
  • Textured folds and rocky base add depth throughout the sculpt.
  • Narrow upright form works well within gothic shelf displays.

The restrained pose gives Reaper’s Oath more atmosphere than movement, making it a strong choice for darker displays built around reapers, skulls and symbolic gothic figures.

Add him to the shadowed figures in our Reapers and Skeleton Ornaments, or continue the skeletal theme with our Skull Ornaments. For more imposing dark characters, browse our Gargoyles, Grotesques and Horror collection.

Display and care

Place the figurine on a stable, level surface and leave enough clearance around the sword and projecting robe details.

Lift with support beneath the base, dust the robe folds gently with a soft, dry brush and avoid pulling or applying pressure to the blade and skeletal hands.
