Natural Banana Leaf & Abu-Abu Raffia Lampshades – Set of 3
Bring the warmth of natural fibres into your home with this Set of 3 Banana Leaf & Abu-Abu Raffia Lampshades. Handcrafted in Indonesia, each shade combines beautifully textured banana leaf weaving with contrasting grey-toned raffia detailing, creating an earthy, relaxed appearance. Their rounded, open-weave designs make a lovely addition to bohemian, coastal and rustic interiors, whether displayed together or throughout different rooms.
With three graduated sizes, this set offers flexibility for creating a coordinated lighting arrangement. Hang them at different heights for an attractive ceiling display or use them individually with suitable lamp fittings. More About Banana Leaf & Abu-Abu Raffia Lampshades
Banana plants provide more than fruit. Fibres extracted from their stems can be dried and worked into flexible strands suitable for weaving, making them useful in traditional baskets, mats and decorative household accessories. These Indonesian lampshades celebrate that craft through their naturally textured construction.
The Abu-Abu variation introduces grey-toned raffia accents alongside the warm brown banana leaf fibres. The contrasting woven sections give each shade an interesting layered appearance, while the open structure creates a softer, textured lighting effect when paired with a suitable bulb and fitting.
Having three different sizes allows you to create a coordinated arrangement above a dining area, use matching shades in separate rooms or combine them at varied heights for a relaxed bohemian display. Natural variations in tone and weaving are expected with handcrafted plant-fibre products.
These are decorative lampshades only, with bulbs and electrical fittings sold separately. Ensure each shade is securely supported by a suitable fitting, use a compatible cool-running bulb and maintain safe clearance from the natural fibres. Keep dry and dust gently with a soft brush.
