Molten glass on wood is a traditional Balinese craft that celebrates the contrast between natural materials and skilled glasswork. Rather than using a standard mould, heated glass is shaped over a piece of Gamal wood, allowing the contours, curves and irregularities of the timber to influence the finished vessel.
This double candle holder features two glass forms resting within a rustic wooden structure. The combination of transparent recycled glass and natural timber creates a distinctive decorative piece suited to bohemian, rustic and nature-inspired interiors.
Because the wood and glass are individually shaped, no two pieces will look exactly alike. Differences in the wood grain, glass contours and overall proportions contribute to the handmade character. Tiny bubbles or light surface marks may also be present.
