Using backflow cones (quick notes)
Backflow cones have a hollow base and only work properly on a backflow burner. Light the tip, let it catch, then gently blow the flame out and place the cone centrally so the smoke can drop through the channel. The cascade usually starts once the cone is properly smouldering.
