For The Gods Viking Tankard Small

A sword-hilt handle rises beside carved-looking Viking portraits on For The Gods, with shields, crossed weapons and dark wood-effect panels wrapping around the body. The compact tankard has the feel of a piece pulled from a Norse-inspired hall, with warmer metallic tones breaking through the deep brown finish.

Standing approximately 12 cm tall, the hand-painted polyresin exterior is covered with raised grain-like textures, ornamental borders and warrior imagery that continues around the sides. The sword-shaped handle carries the theme into the silhouette itself, while a removable stainless-steel insert forms the inner vessel.

Warriors, Weapons and the Viking World

The Viking Age is usually associated with Scandinavian seafarers active across much of Europe from the late eighth to the eleventh centuries. Swords and shields became some of the most enduring images connected with Viking warriors, although everyday Norse life reached far beyond raiding to trade, farming, exploration and settlement.

For The Gods leans into the warrior side of that history, surrounding its portraits with weapons and shield imagery while the darker wood-effect surface gives the tankard the feel of carved timber. The name also nods towards the religious world of the Norse, where gods such as Odin and Thor formed part of a much wider mythology and belief system.

A Sword Built into the Handle

The sword-hilt handle is what gives this smaller tankard much of its character. Rather than adding another weapon to the sculpted panels, the design makes the sword part of the vessel itself, with the straight grip rising beside the darker body.

For The Gods belongs naturally amongst our Goblets and Tankards, while the Norse warrior imagery connects directly with our Vikings collection. For more historical and legendary subjects from the ancient and medieval world, browse our History and Mythology collection.

Use and care

Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for beverage use and cleaning. Remove the stainless-steel insert carefully when required, and wipe the painted polyresin exterior gently without soaking or using abrasive cleaners. Take extra care around the sculpted sword-hilt handle.
