Dark Citadel Dragon Ornament

A black dragon claims the towers of Dark Citadel, gripping the stone-effect castle as its tail curls down the walls. Its head projects over the front of the stronghold, while pointed windows, sculpted brickwork and a small doorway establish the miniature fortress beneath it.

Cast in hand-painted polyresin with a listed size of approximately 36.5cm, this dragon ornament combines creature and architecture in one tall fantasy scene. Black and dark grey tones unite the composition, with lighter edges picking out scales, masonry and the rocky base.

Guardian or Conqueror of the Towers?

The dragon’s grip leaves the story open to interpretation. It might be defending the citadel, watching for intruders or taking possession of a captured stronghold. The curling body makes the castle part of the creature’s pose, giving the scene interest from the towers down to the base.

Give Dark Citadel room on a sturdy shelf or sideboard where its full outline can be appreciated. It makes an imposing focal point for a dragon collector, with architectural details that invite you to build a wider fantasy world around it.

Bring the Fortress Story to Life

Set the Templar’s Oath Knight Figurine nearby as a watchful warrior beneath the dragon’s stronghold, or introduce the rearing horse and armoured rider of Knight’s Charge for a more dramatic encounter. Our Dragon Ornaments offer further creatures to gather around the citadel, while the warriors in our History & Mythology collection give the imagined fortress its human inhabitants. A sculpture from our Gargoyles, Grotesques & Horror collection adds another guardian to the scene.

Display and care

Display indoors on a stable, level surface with clearance around the wings, projecting head and towers. Support beneath the base when lifting and avoid pressure on the finer sculpted details. Dust the scales and brickwork gently with a soft, dry brush.
