Lakshmi is traditionally associated with prosperity, abundance, generosity and good fortune within Hindu tradition. She is often depicted seated on a lotus, a symbol closely connected with purity and spiritual growth.
The reverse of this figure features a right-facing swastika, an ancient sacred symbol used within Hindu, Buddhist and Jain traditions to represent auspiciousness and good fortune. Its traditional religious meaning predates and is entirely separate from the symbol's later appropriation by the Nazi regime.
Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth. Brass may naturally deepen in tone over time, adding individual character to the finish.
