Blackwing Sovereign Gothic Winged Figurine

Blackwing Sovereign rises above a curled dragon, her vast feathered wings creating a tall, shadowed silhouette over the rocky base. A blade hangs beside the layered black costume, while pale skin and softer grey highlights break through the darker surface and keep the central figure visible against the wings.

Standing 58.5 cm tall, the hand-painted polyresin sculpture has the scale to let its textures do much of the work. Feathers, armour-like clothing and dragon scales are all treated differently, while long dark hair falls behind the face and the creature’s horns and tail curl through the lower part of the scene.

A Winged Figure Above a Coiled Dragon

The dragon is not treated as a separate ornament at her feet. Its horns, scales and curling body form the lower half of the composition, while the wings carry the eye upward and make the figure feel much taller than the base alone would suggest.

The restricted black-and-grey palette gives the piece a heavier gothic feel, but it also lets the differences in texture stand out. Feathers remain distinct from scale, armour from fabric, and the paler face becomes the natural point of focus between them.
