This Bali Magic Box - Fat Fish hides a small storage compartment inside a characterful wooden fish. Crafted from natural Saman wood, its carved body is divided into interlocking sections that must be moved apart in the correct sequence before the concealed space can be reached.

Detailed scales, shaped fins and the rounded fish form give the assembled box plenty of decorative character. Once the puzzle has been solved, the compartment inside can hold a ring, charm, tiny crystal, folded message or another miniature treasure.

A Fish-Shaped Puzzle with Secret Storage

The compartment remains hidden while the fish is fully assembled, with no conventional hinge or obvious lid interrupting the carved design. Taking the sections apart reveals the storage space, while fitting them back together restores the complete fish shape.

Natural grain, warm colouring and tonal variation remain visible throughout the design. Small differences in the carving and wood pattern give each box individual character and reflect its handcrafted construction.
